The IcyDock MB988 is available for IDE or hot-swappable SCA interface. This product is very reliable and highly dependable. The IDE version is ideally suited for mobile storage or back-up solution. Whilst the SCA version is highly suited for a RAID environment. Constructed in die-cast aluminium alloy for its strength, solidity and better heat dissipation. Each canister features an LED ID display (SCA only) along with power, hard disk activity, and failure status. Buzzer alarm is incorporated in every unit and will function in the event of hard disk overheat or fan failure. Event reporting to intelligent RAID/chassis host controller is also possible via a built-in electronic panel of the SCA model.  Each IcyDock MB988 employ an easily replaceable fan.
