AcceleRAID 352

Mylex AcceleRAID 352
Ultra 160 SCSI to PCI RAID Controllers
The AcceleRAID 352 is an affordable high performance dual channel Ultra 160 SCSI RAID controller that also upgrades existing system board SCSI channels to powerful RAID channels.

AcceleRAID 352 is a low-cost dual channel PCI-to-Ultra 160 SCSI LVD, RAID controller that brings the performance and fault tolerance of RAID to workstations and entry level and midrange server applications at the lowest cost possible. Two Ultra 160 SCSI LVD channels capable of data transfers of 160MB/sec each, along with an ability to connect up to 30 devices for a capacity of 2.16TB per controller makes the AcceleRAID 352 a phenomena performance engine for all levels of RAID applications.

Unparalleled Performance
The AcceleRAID 352 hardware is optimised to be a dual-channel RAID controller with Ultra 160 SCSI support. Intel's i960RN 100 MHz RISC processor, 2 Ultra 160 SCSI LVD channels and superior high performance drivers increase overall system through-put. Using the latest in PCI technology, the AcceleRAID 352 features 64 bit PCI bus at 33MHz, complies with PCI 2.2, and supports PCI Hot-Plug standards. The AcceleRAID 352 provides the superior performance, maximum data protection, and extreme fault tolerance expected from Mylex RAID controllers.

Reliable, Dependable Fault Tolerance
AcceleRAID 352 also provides full RAID level 0, 1, 0+1, 3, 5, 10, 30, 50 and JBOD configuration capabilities. ECC cache, supporting 32MB or 64MB DIMM memory, provides error detection and correction for maximum data protection. Other features such as hot spare and automatic rebuild allow the server to continue to keep the network running when a drive fails.

AcceleRAID 352 RAID controllers have a multitude of fault detection and fault tolerance features, as well as new functions to ease set up, flexibility and management. Immediate RAID Availability (background initialisation) enables other set up tasks to be performed while the drives are being initialised. RAID expansion allows users to add drives to existing arrays and restripe data across all the drives. The additional storage space created by the new drive expands the capacity of the existing logical drive or creates an additional logical drive. The copy drive group feature provides users with a method of duplicating the contents of one logical drive to another in a single step.

Unparalleled Configuration and Remote Management
The AcceleRAID 352's comprehensive storage management capabilities come from Mylex's Java based Web Array Manager (WAM) and the industry leading Global Array Manager (GAM). These RAID management utilities allow users to remotely configure and monitor RAID subsystems using industry standard protocols. WAM/GAM is rich in management features, allowing users to easily manage their online storage.
