Panasonic Broadcast & Television Systems Company (PBTSC) has introduced the PT-L557U portable SVGA LCD projector, the most recent model in the company's popular line of ultra-bright lightweight projectors. Featuring an exceptional 1,500 ANSI lumens and a high contrast ratio of more than 250:1, the PT-L557U effectively becomes the brightest SVGA projector in the under 14 pound category.
The PT-L557U is also the first SVGA portable projector to offer the remarkably high center-to-corner uniformity ratio of 95%, considered the industry's highest. The PT-L557U boasts a smart PC Card slot with powerful slide management software that supports one-touch screen capture as well as the ability to perform unattended, self-running, continuous-play presentations. The projector is extremely convenient for organisations that standardise presentations through PC memory card distribution.
The PT-L557U delivers a compelling package of brightness, display quality and portability, It's the ideal choice for the user who requires mobility, but can't sacrifice brightness to achieve it.
The PT-L557U projector displays a native resolution of 800 X 600 SVGA with a maximum resolution of 1,024 X 768 XGA in compressed mode. It is equipped with a 1,100-hour long-life 200-watt UHM lamp. The PT-L557U comes standard with an integrated remote control that has built-in mouse function and laser pointer, allowing the presenter total control during his presentation.
Utilising an optional PC memory card with pre-stored JPEG images, users can deliver presentations without the bother of hooking up a PC, and also receive the benefit of automatic continuous playback of their slide show. The PT-L557U's powerful slide management software not only helps convert slides of most presentation packages into usable JPEG slides, it also can sort, move, delete and archive more than 100 images in one single PC card, allowing it to be used for multiple presentations. Presentations stored in PC Cards can be protected with a security password.
Truly designed for worldwide use, the 13.6 pound PT-L557U offers broad compatibility ranging from PC and Macintosh computers to NTSC, SECAM and PAL video signals. Capable of front or rear projection on screens ranging in size from 20" - 300", the PT-L557U can also display NTSC images in 16:9 mode.
Other features include plug-and-play compatibility with PCs, focus and zoom lens with cap for protection during transport, RGB input/output, composite video (RCA) and S-video inputs.
