BriteOptic™, tucked into the PT-L797E's compact body, is a new proprietary technology. The BriteOptic dual lamp system comines the power of two high- intensity light sources, by using a high-precision prism with an improved light integrator system and other advanced devices to maximise light output efficiency. Also, a Micro Lens Arrary (MLA) integrated into each 3 LCD panels contributes to the PT-L797E's outstanding brightness.

The PT-L797E uses a high performance, 10-bit digital gamma correction circuit to optimise the non-linear imaging characteristics of the LCD panels. Far superior to conventional analogue gamma processing, this circuitry delivers naturally vibrant colours with smooth shading and image gradation.

3D Comb Filter
Use of a 3-dimensional adaptive comb filter gives the PT-L797E a high degree of precision in Y/C (luminance/chrominance) signal separation, resulting in crisper, clearer images with a dramatic reduction in dot crawl interference and cross-colour distortion.

True XGA Resolution
The PT-L797E features true XGA resolution - a full 1024 x 768 pixels - to project more detailed computer images and graphics from high-end computers or engineering workstations (EWS). The PT-L797E also delivers outstanding images with a horizontal resolution of 760 TV lines.

Intelligent Image Resizing
When expanding or compressing images that have anything other than XGA resolution, the PT-L797E uses digital signal processing to deliver smooth outlines and superior on-screen definition. This gives the PT-L797E outstanding compatibility with VGA, SVGA, SXGA, Macintosh, video and even HDTV sources.

Convenience and Versatility
Digital Zoom and Picture-In-Picture
You can easily zoom in on selected areas for a clearer view of finely detailed graphics
and small-character spreadsheet presentations. The PT-L797E gives you a 30-step zoom that enhances the clarity of your magnified images. Video or S-video screens can also be superimposed onto a sub-window within an image projected from a computer.

One-Touch Auto Setup
The Auto Setup function identifies the signal mode from its input without the need for any additional software or equipment, and automatically tunes and adjusts the image for optimal display inall aspects including its vertical position, horizontal position, dot clock and phase.

Backlit Wireless Remote With Mouse Control
The PT-L797E comes with a remote control that features a mouse and an array of user productivity and convenience functions. Simply connect the PT-L797E to your computer using the supplied cable. No need to install any additional software.

Lens Shift
Shift the projected image vertically even after the projector is set in position. The PT-L797E has a great adjustment range, and the image remains free of distortion.
