The new SOLA 520 Rackmount models integrate features such as user-programmable buck/boost and nominal voltage regulation; an easy-to-read and intuitive user interface; built-in BestDockd communications slot for expanded communication options, including PC interface via the Internet using the BestLinkd SNMP/WEB Adapter; front-panel, user-replaceable batteries; reduced recharge time; and built-in transient voltage surge suppression for associated network connections.

According to SOLA Australia's Managing Director Hugh Evans, "An increasing number of routers, servers, hubs and other network equipment are being placed in rack enclosures. Information management professionals need the SOLA 520 intelligent communications features to help them quickly diagnose and respond to system and power problems. Now all the advanced features recently introduced in new SOLA 520 tower models are available for rackmount applications, including advanced power control and monitoring capability over the network."

Every SOLA 520 Rackmount includes CheckUPS. II Suite advanced power management software and connecting cable at no additional cost. CheckUPS supports most major operating systems including DOS, Windows v3.1x, Windows 95, Windows 98, Windows NT, OS/2, Novell/Windows v3.1x, Novell/DOS and many versions of UNIX.

The all-new BestLink SNMP/WEB adapter, introduced recently as well, is also available for SOLA 520 Rackmount. This option provides both SNMP and HTTP monitoring capability in any network-connected PC using a Web-based browser between the associated UPS connected via an Ethernet LAN/WAN. The BestLink adapter can also be used with any other SOLA UPS that is equipped for RS-232 serial communication to provide the same degree of network connectivity.

The SOLA 520 Rackmount is covered by a two-year limited warranty against factory or workmanship defects.
